World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can increase the value of weapons, armors and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as PvE damage and crit chance.

For example a weapon that has the upgrade template that is ending in % will suffer 3damage to attack each time it upgrades (relative to its previous value).

The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item’s level. The cost increases as the item’s level increases.

    Components

Upgrade components can be added to trinkets, weapons and armor to provide them with a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to blue level before the component can be applied. Like other mods, upgrade components can only be used one time; they cannot be applied multiple times or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and enrichments are a specific type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment as well as the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it’s applied to (for example, ‘Canthan Armor Insignia,’ becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). item level up increase the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of that equipment that require the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A ‘boost upgrade’ can alter the defense or attack characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.

Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher tier version of an item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they’re not sure of how much it will improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be costly and it is likely that the item will be obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate the chances of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

    Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, including any existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.

In the final game you’ll find that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is to place Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded up to level 15 and offer a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced however Glyphs are the one upgrade component that can be removed and replaced without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the numerous Glyphs as well as also a few rare glyphs to be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that boosts a particular set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.

Glyphs boost all nodes that are connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

    Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the power of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as “upping”. Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained from finishing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of the crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and the additional bonuses will be added to the item.

When an individual player upgrades an item it will be replaced by the new item. This means that the same armor piece will become an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a problem, as it can make the item more expensive if you don’t require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will have the level 1 base, and a totally different set of bonus bonuses. This is a good idea, but shouldn’t be done often as it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value, allowing players to customize their gear. Dolphin’s Gift is a good example, since it grants a buff if the player repeatedly enters or leaves the water. This item can be upgraded several times by increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is highly important in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of the unupgraded counterpart.

    Requirements

The item upgrader allows players to raise the level of their equipment (armor weapons, armor trinkets, and armor) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an item, it has a chance to fail–the failure rate increases the farther you go over the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can result in the item returning to its original state, which requires the player to purchase more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as all other effects that are associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or reload speed). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied before any damage to attack increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item’s definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is applied.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and upgrade slot count. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is equal to the base value of the upgrade. For example, a common equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items have different requirements for upgrading in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will need to carry each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment requires different amounts of the ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the expenses mentioned above.
