World of Warcraft – Item Upgrade

They can also affect the overall gameplay.

The NPC for upgrading items can be located in the game. These NPCs are located in major questing areas or capital cities. Players can also locate item upgraders in dungeons that have high-level bosses and by chatting with NPCs in their garrisons of their faction.

The World of Warcraft item upgrade system lets players increase the level of weapons, armor and trinkets. This process is very similar to the process used for gear reforging in Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor however, instead of using the currency that is appropriate players need to visit an NPC to upgrade their items to complete the process.

This option allows you to replace the upgraded item with an unlevel 1 version that has different bonuses. This is useful for obtaining better scores on items that are already upgraded, but could be a waste of resources.

Requirements

The process of upgrading items that are equippable like armor, weapons and trinkets is to increase the level of the item. This can increase their stats, making them more powerful in battle. Early upgrades only increase the stats of the item’s base level. Later upgrades give significant increases. For instance upgrading a weapon from three to level six can increase the weapon’s damage by an additional two levels. A bonus stat will also be added to the upgraded item based on its level. The bonus consists of a guaranteed substat and random generated stats, which will vary from upgrade to upgrade.

A player can roll an upgraded item using a Reroll Token to exchange the upgrade for a brand new one. The new item has a different set extra bonuses, and is of a lower level of the item. The rerolled item is also likely to have different requirements for strength and dexterity. It is important to note that the rerolled item does not retain its original level or any of its wasted resource.

Rerolling upgraded items is only possible if the item that was upgraded was Epic, Rare or Unique. enhance gear can also be rerolled, but the original stats are replaced with an uncapped bonus. This means that rerolling a Rare item will result in a normal version of the same type, while rerolling an Epic item will result in an Elite version of the same kind.

Upgraded items may have additional adjustments that can boost their performance and increase their stats. These additional modifiers are not included in the upgrade price. They can be obtained through questing, buying them on the Trading Post or from other players. Additionally, they can be earned through completing certain tasks in the game.

To upgrade an item of equipment it is necessary to visit the NPC [Armor] Boboko in Central Flarine. You will require Power Dices depending on the item. (Dice 6 is dropped by monsters 21+, Giants and Bosses; Dice 12 can be found from Bosses). You will also require different amounts of Minerals, Erons and Giants.

Time is a factor.

Items upgrades can be used to improve the stats of your gear and ship without the need to upgrade them. Upgrades aren’t cheap but they are a good method to boost your stats without having to spend as much time fighting. It’s important to know the benefits and costs prior to making the investment of time or money.

Each upgrade boosts the stats of the item by a certain amount and gives the chance to obtain a bonus substat. The random substat could be anything from a minor boost to a massive boost. It’s best to focus on the top-performing items in your slot first, as they’ll yield a higher return for your investment.

You can check the time required to complete an upgrade by opening your inventory and selecting an item such as a ship, weapon, or other accessory. The upgrade window will display the progress and expected completion time. In certain cases, you may be able speed up the upgrade process by using a Glyph.

Black Lion Salvage or Ascended Salvage offer a salvage kit which allows you to salvage all or part of the upgrade components. However, this does not include legendary equipment and upgrades that can only be recovered using an Upgrade Extractor, or by recovering them through the appropriate Karma Merchant.

Rewards

The upgrading of items rewards players with currency and a variety of items. Every upgrade has a chance of granting a random stat bonus. The amount of bonus value is different for each upgrade, and is typically higher for rare items. Players can conduct a Great Vault search to see whether an item can be upgraded prior to purchasing tickets. The search can help determine whether the item is of a specific tier and whether the player will benefit from an upgrade.

During the process of upgrading the item will gradually grow closer to the next level, but it’s not always able to reach a full upgrade bar. The process will consume Growthstones and Sollant, but there is the chance to get an upgraded item in just one cycle of growth. The more levels an item attains, the higher its stat boost and the more items it can upgrade into.

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons, or armor in order to gain an attribute bonus or to create a unique effect while the equipment is being worn. Some upgrade components have additional cosmetic effects. Players can acquire upgrade components through crafting, buying from vendors or the Trading Post, looting, or as rewards. In addition players can retrieve upgraded items using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with a high-tier salvage kit. Glyphs, which are placed in gathering tools can be swapped without any restrictions.

By selecting the item and pressing the green button with a an arrow for rerolling, a player can reroll it to create an upgradeable item. This alters the layout of the item window and allow players to select up to six items to “recycle”. The item that is recycled will be exchanged with a level 1 item of the same type. Rerolled items will not retain their level, nor the resources used to upgrade them.

The maximum level of upgrade for an item is determined by its tier and the quality. Rare items can be upgraded to a maximum of level six, while Rare and Epic items can be upgraded to levels nine. Upgrades to items are added to the item’s base statistics and do not increase after a specific point.
