Recently, a new video was released on YouTube showing an alpha version of Star Wars Battlefront 3. You can watch it here. Sadly, it seems that this game will never be made. The developers, Free Radical, went under before and this kind person decided it’s time to show the world what could have been. Then again, we can still hope that some decent developer will finish the job. It doesn’t seem that way, though.
Pandemic made the first two games in the series, but Free Radical was set to make the third installment. But on December 18, 2008, it was reported that the company was shut down, though it was later confirmed that the company had gone into administration, leaving 40 of the original 185 staff employed. On February 3, 2009, Haze scriptwriter Rob Yescombe announced that Free Radical had been purchased by Crytek. Free Radical is now known as Crytek UK.
